Sinekatalog’s take
Deepa Mehta's drama follows a young Sri Lankan Tamil boy discovering his sexuality amid family and ethnic conflict. Colourful and sensitive, it was Canada's Oscar entry before being disqualified, and is a warm and moving coming-of-age film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
