Sinekatalog’s take

Deepa Mehta's adaptation of Salman Rushdie follows children born at India's independence moment with magical gifts. Earnest and handsome, but squeezing the sprawling novel into a film, it is more a pageant than a vivid whole.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
