Sinekatalog’s take

René Clair's bittersweet drama follows a friendship between a drunken lout and a fugitive in a poor Paris district. Pierre Brasseur and Georges Brassens are memorable in a warm, poetic and sad tale with Brassens's songs.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
