Sinekatalog’s take

Ridley Scott revives the sword-and-sandal epic with Russell Crowe's brooding general and Joaquin Phoenix's insecure emperor. The arena scenes are gripping and the revenge plot is simple but effective.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
