Sinekatalog’s take

Zhang Yimou's wuxia romance is a dazzle of colour, choreography and tragic love. The bamboo forest and echo-game sequences are astonishing, even when the plot's twists tip into melodrama.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
