Sinekatalog’s take

Jiří Menzel's comic fable follows a short waiter who rises to millionaire hotelier and falls under communism. Warm, bawdy and wistful, it is a charming, ironic romp through Czech history.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
