Sinekatalog’s take
Carlos Reygadas's debut sends a painter to a remote Mexican canyon to die, where an old woman takes him in. Austere, sensual and spiritual, with striking landscapes and non-professional actors, it announced a major, uncompromising talent.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
