Plot
A family visits Darjeeling and argues about a marriage.
Sinekatalog’s take
Satyajit Ray's first colour film gathers an upper-class family in Darjeeling during an afternoon and evening of fog and tension about a marriage. Gentle, structured in real time and shot with a soft mist, it is a graceful, perceptive chamber piece.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
