The life of the popular German author of adventure stories set in the American West, who never visited it, and his later disillusionment.
Sinekatalog’s take
Hans-Jürgen Syberberg's biopic portrays the best-selling German author of Wild West adventures who never visited America, and his later disillusion. Stylised and sombre, with theatrical staging, it is a thoughtful, elegiac meditation on illusion and fame.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
