Sinekatalog’s take

Hans-Jürgen Syberberg's theatrical fantasy portrays Ludwig II of Bavaria in artificial sets, projections and Wagnerian excess. Stylised, grand and strange, it is a fascinating, demanding portrait of kingship, art and madness.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
