Sinekatalog’s take
Philippe Garrel's hallucinatory film retells the life of Christ as a countercultural wander through Morocco, with Zouzou and Pierre Clémenti and Nico's song 'The Falconer'. Austere and dreamlike, it is a strange, pretentious but striking artefact of 1969.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
