Sinekatalog’s take

Abel Gance's 1917 melodrama follows a woman whose love and a family's tragedy lead to ruin. Emmy Lynn is intense in an early showcase of Gance's emerging visual style, though the story is conventional.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
