Sinekatalog’s take
Edward Dmytryk's Chandler adaptation made Dick Powell a tough Philip Marlowe. Moody, witty and tangled, with a hallucinatory drug sequence, it is a defining film noir.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
