Sinekatalog’s take
Erich von Stroheim's unfinished silent epic follows a convent girl swept into a decadent royal court. Gloria Swanson halted production, but the surviving footage is lavish, perverse and hypnotic, a famous ruin of a film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
