Plot
In a multiethnic Transylvanian village, the arrival of foreign workers at a bakery brings hidden tensions to the surface.
Sinekatalog’s take
Cristian Mungiu's drama shows a Transylvanian village's xenophobia exploding when a bakery hires Sri Lankan workers. Tense and brilliantly staged, including a long town-hall scene, it is a chilling portrait of European prejudice.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
