Plot

A film director arrives a day early for a festival screening in Suwon, and meets a painter. The meeting is shown twice, with small variations in what each person says and does, which lead to very different outcomes. Hong Sang-soo's 2015 film, with Jung Jae-young and Kim Min-hee, is a witty, subtle study of how small changes alter relationships, and won the Golden Leopard at Locarno.

Sinekatalog’s take

Hong Sang-soo plays one meeting between a director and a painter twice, with small shifts that change everything. Witty, awkward and humane, with Jung Jae-young and Kim Min-hee, it is an elegant study of honesty and self-deception.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
