Plot

A country boy goes to the big city to make his fortune and writes to his girlfriend that he has a good job. In fact he is a lowly clerk in a department store. To win a prize he offers to arrange a publicity stunt in which a friend will climb the face of the building, but the friend is chased by a policeman, and the hero must climb it himself, floor by floor. Harold Lloyd's 1923 comedy ends with him hanging from the hands of a clock, an image that remains one of the most famous in cinema.

Sinekatalog’s take

Harold Lloyd climbs a skyscraper in a stunt-filled comedy that gave cinema its famous clock-hanging image. The thrill is real, and the gags are timed with great precision.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
