Sinekatalog’s take
Miklós Jancsó's drama follows a young revolutionary who hides on a farm after 1919's failed Hungarian uprising and becomes entangled with the farmer's wife. Stark, formal and tense, with sweeping long takes, it is a rigorous, cold study of power.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
