Sinekatalog’s take

Hou Hsiao-hsien's wuxia is a slow, painterly meditation more than a fight film. Its misty landscapes and elliptical story reward patience, though they may baffle viewers expecting martial-arts action.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
