A film about the Inconfidência Mineira.
Sinekatalog’s take
Joaquim Pedro de Andrade's historical film recounts the 1789 Inconfidência Mineira conspiracy in colonial Brazil, in a wry, stylised way. Cool and ironic, it is an inventive Cinema Novo take on history and failed revolt.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
