Plot
A science-fiction parody of Star Wars and Hollywood blockbusters, which won the Silver Bear Jury Prize at Berlin. Known in French as L'Empire.
Sinekatalog’s take
Bruno Dumont's science-fiction parody sends feuding alien clans from a Northern French village into a Star Wars-like war. Deadpan and absurd, with a Silver Bear Jury Prize, it is a bizarre, divisive joke that many find tiresome.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
