Sinekatalog’s take

Miloš Forman's comedy of a small-town fire brigade's ball, with a beauty contest, a raffle and stolen prizes, ends in chaos and shame. A gentle, merciless satire of bureaucracy, it was banned after the Soviet invasion for the way its jokes hit home.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
