Sinekatalog’s take

Patrice Chéreau's baroque thriller pursues a young heiress escaping an asylum through 1930s Brittany, with Charlotte Rampling and Edwige Feuillère. Lurid, stylised and operatic, it is a feverish but uneven debut in English-language noir.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
