Sinekatalog’s take

Oscar Micheaux's silent drama follows a Black homesteader who loves white women but refuses to marry one out of racial loyalty, then marries a Black woman and faces trouble. Raw and historically vital, it is a landmark of early independent Black cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
