Sinekatalog’s take

Werner Schroeter's film follows a Neapolitan family and its working-class neighbours from 1943 into the 1970s. Passionate and sprawling, it blends politics, melodrama and Schroeter's operatic style in a warm, loose portrait of Naples.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
