Plot
A proud family declines as the town around it changes. The studio cut Welles's version heavily.
Sinekatalog’s take
Orson Welles's follow-up to Citizen Kane, butchered by its studio, remains a haunting study of a proud family's decline. Even in cut form, its camerawork and sadness are extraordinary.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
