Plot
A black-and-white film inspired by the poems of Vazha-Pshavela.
Sinekatalog’s take
Tengiz Abuladze's black-and-white film draws on the poems of Vazha-Pshavela, in a stern, stylised telling of a clash between two peoples. Stark and poetic, it is a landmark of Georgian cinema and a step toward Repentance.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
