Sinekatalog’s take
Joseph Losey's noir has Van Heflin as a cop who seduces a lonely woman and schemes to murder her husband. Tense and cynical, with a sharp Dalton Trumbo script, it is a bleak, underrated slice of American fatalism.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
