Sinekatalog’s take
Alan Bridges's adaptation of Rebecca West follows a shell-shocked officer who returns from the Great War remembering his first love, not his wife. Julie Christie, Glenda Jackson and Alan Bates are fine in a restrained, elegant and aching period drama.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
