Sinekatalog’s take

James Whale's sequel to All Quiet on the Western Front follows German soldiers returning home to a chaotic postwar country. Interfered with by Universal and Nazi pressure, it is a patchy but earnest anti-war drama with Whale's touch.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
