Sinekatalog’s take

Guy Maddin's feverish fantasy stages a Depression-era Winnipeg contest for the world's saddest music. Black-and-white, grainy and deliriously inventive, with Isabella Rossellini in glass legs, it is a wacky, haunting cult delight.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
