A scientist working on bomb disposal in wartime London.
Sinekatalog’s take
Powell and Pressburger's wartime drama follows a bomb-disposal scientist battling pain, drink and bureaucracy. David Farrar is fine, and a nightmarish whisky sequence and a tense beach finale make it an underrated, moody gem.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
