Sinekatalog’s take
Douglas Sirk's black-and-white drama follows a reporter drawn to a barnstorming pilot's damaged family in Depression-era New Orleans. Dark and lyrical, with Dorothy Malone superb, it is a poetic Faulkner adaptation.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
