Sinekatalog’s take

Fridrikh Ermler's wartime film dramatises Soviet strategy at Stalingrad through command-room talks and battle scenes. Official and stolid, it is propaganda of the period, more notable as a document than as a drama.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
