Sinekatalog’s take

Rainer Simon's drama has a German soldier return on leave in World War I to find his sweetheart in love with a Russian prisoner. Spare and humane, it won the Golden Bear at Berlin as a quiet, anti-war chamber piece.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
