Sinekatalog’s take
Zhang Yimou's family saga follows a couple through decades of Chinese upheaval. Ge You and Gong Li are superb, and the film mixes humour and sorrow into a humane, banned-then-celebrated epic.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
