Plot

Tuya, a woman herding sheep in Inner Mongolia, must find a second husband who will also look after her disabled first husband, Bater, after his injury leaves him unable to work. She refuses to give him up, and chooses among suitors, as the harsh landscape slowly changes. Wang Quan'an's 2006 film won the Golden Bear in Berlin.
