Plot
Eva, a former travel writer, has a difficult relationship with her cold, hostile son Kevin from his birth. Years later, after he commits a massacre at his school, she lives in isolation and judgement, and struggles with guilt and doubt, trying to understand what she could have done. Lynne Ramsay's 2011 film, with Tilda Swinton, is a harrowing and stylised psychological drama.
Sinekatalog’s take
Lynne Ramsay's chilling, fractured drama is about a mother's guilt after an unspeakable act. Tilda Swinton is extraordinary, and the film is as disturbing as it is beautifully composed.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
