Sinekatalog’s take
Luchino Visconti's adaptation of Dostoevsky is a dreamy studio-built romance of a lonely man and a waiting woman. Marcello Mastroianni and Maria Schell are lovely in a lyrical, melancholic film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
