Sinekatalog’s take
Elia Kazan's drama sends Montgomery Clift to evict a stubborn matriarch from land the TVA will flood. Humane and beautifully shot, with Lee Remick and Jo Van Fleet superb, it is a quiet, moving clash of progress and tradition.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
