Sinekatalog’s take
Theo Angelopoulos's historical allegory follows a bandit-revolutionary who seizes a Greek village in 1900 and tries to build a utopia. Slow and monumental, it is a bleak, mythic reflection on power and revolution.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
