Sinekatalog’s take
Jacques Becker's warm postwar comedy-drama follows a young Paris couple thrown into crisis when she loses a winning lottery ticket. Light, humane and richly observed in the streets and shops, it is a charming slice of working-class life.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
