Sinekatalog’s take
Wang Quan'an's drama follows a Nationalist soldier who fled to Taiwan in 1949 and returns to Shanghai to find his wife married to another man. Lisa Lu is superb in a gentle, wry and deeply human film about the cost of history.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
