Sinekatalog’s take

Mani Kaul adapts Mohan Rakesh's play about the poet Kalidasa and the woman he leaves behind. Stylised, slow and rigorous, with whispered voices and still images, it is a radical, hypnotic landmark of Indian art cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
