Sinekatalog’s take
Louis Malle's drama of an ageing hoodlum and a casino worker in a fading seaside town is wistful and sharp. Burt Lancaster gives a career-best, elegiac performance, and Susan Sarandon is luminous.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
