Plot
Tensions between tradition and change grow in a fishing village on the coast of Bahia.
Sinekatalog’s take
Glauber Rocha's debut sets tradition against change in a Bahian fishing village, where a returning man challenges the villagers' fatalism. Raw, expressive and political, it points toward the Cinema Novo explosion to come.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
