Sinekatalog’s take

Glauber Rocha's baroque political allegory follows a poet in a fictional Latin American country torn by betrayal and power. Wild, operatic and fierce, it is a landmark of Brazilian Cinema Novo and a dazzling, difficult film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
