Plot
A family uses its child to extort money from drivers.
Sinekatalog’s take
Nagisa Oshima's drama follows a family who use their young son to extort drivers by staging hit-and-run accidents. Cold and angry, with a child's perspective on a marginal, desperate life, it is a stark critique of postwar Japan.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
