A peasant family in the French countryside.

Sinekatalog’s take

Jacques Becker's quirky rural comedy-mystery follows an eccentric peasant family and the theft of a hidden fortune. Cleverly written, shot in wartime, it is a sly, affectionate and sharp portrait of provincial France.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
