Sinekatalog’s take

Paweł Pawlikowski's stark black-and-white drama follows a novice discovering her family's past in 1960s Poland. Austere and beautifully composed, it is brief, quiet and devastating.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
